How to find the GDP Oil Rig Chest in Far Cry 6

One of the more annoying sequences that can happen in Far Cry 6 is players get to a new location and discover that there’s a chest containing a new unique weapon. However, upon seeing this chest, they realize they can’t get to it without some clever puzzle-solving. 

While the puzzles are never overly difficult, players simply want to get to their chest in the quickest manner possible. This applies directly to locations like the GDP Oil Rig platform, which requires a semi-long trip to get to. As such, when players discover there’s a chest in one of the containers, they want to get to it as a reward for their efforts in navigating to the location. 

For any player stuck on this chest specifically, keep reading below for a full guide on how to solve the puzzle of the GDP Oil Rig in Far Cry 6. 

Getting the GDP Oil Rig chest in Far Cry 6

For starters, you need to make your way to the location, which is outlined in the image above. Once on the Oil Rig, you’ll need to clear out the enemies and make it a Guerrilla hideout. 

After that’s been accomplished, you can begin the puzzle-solving process. First, you need to find the control room that moves all of the containers on the platform. This is found in the large white building to the west of the platform. It’s the farthest building on the western side of the rig. 

Inside the building, you’ll find a yellow control box that can be interacted with. Interacting with it will lift one of the containers up, which will be directly across the rig from where the control box is. 

Go to the container that was lifted and you’ll see that it opened up another container. This container holds the GDP Oil Rig chest along with some other supplies. The chest holds the Supercharger shotgun, a rank-three weapon in Far Cry 6.
