Fallout 76 Spooky Scorched 2022 - Start Date & What To Expect

Fallout 76 players can celebrate Halloween with the return of the popular Spooky Scorched limited-time seasonal event, in which players will see some of the Scorched mucking about in Halloween-themed attire, dropping loot, items, and candy upon their death.

Spooky Scorched first debuted in August 2021 during the Making Appalachia Your Own with Fallout Worlds video and has been a fan-favorite ever since. Here's everything you need to know about the Spooky Scorched Halloween event in Fallout 76, including the start and end dates, spawn locations, item drops, rewards, and more.

When Does Fallout 76 Spooky Scorched 2022 Start?

According to the Fallout 76 Season 10 Community Calendar, the Spooky Scorched limited-time seasonal event will run from 25th October to 8th November 2022, -- just in time for Halloween! If you've never participated in this Fallout 76 seasonal event, you're in for a real trick (or treat).

Fallout 76 Spooky Scorched Halloween Event Explained

During the Spooky Scorched Halloween Event, Fallout 76 players will notice some of the Scorched donning spooky-themed attire in Appalachia. These critters are found in specific locations, dropping spooky treat bags and mystery candy to those who defeat them.

Spooky Scorched Spawn Locations

While you can find the Spooky Scorched spawning at various spots across Appalachia, these are the best places to farm them (thanks, Fallout Builds).

It's worth mentioning that only 10% of Scorched will spawn as Spooky Scorched in Fallout 76; however, they will always be Legendary enemies.

The chance of running into a 1-3 star enemy ranges from 55% to 5%, respectively. In short, they're tough to take down -- so you don't want to be caught with your pants down!

The type of Halloween attire the Spooky Scorch will wear is determined randomly; they'll also always spawn as melee enemies wielding weapons like a machete, axe, sword, or hammer.

Spooky Scorched Item Drops

Here's a short list of guaranteed rewards dropped by the Spooky Scorched in Fallout 76.

• Mystery Candy
• Spooky Treat Bag
• Legendary Item
• Random Scorched Loot
• Random Glowing Loot (only in blast zones)

Trick-or-Treat

Fallout 76 players can also get a free Spooky Candy Bowl at the Atomic Shop, which they can build by filling it with Mystery Candy (collected from the Spooky Scorched) in their C.A.M.P.s. Doing so will allow players to unlock Daily and Weekly Challenges to trick-or-treat at rival players' C.A.M.P.s.

It's also possible for players to consume the Mystery Candy to receive one of five random special effects:

• Lucky Break: +1 LCK for 10 minutes
• Mystery Treat Surprise: You’re blacking out!
• Sugar Rush: +2 AGI for 10 minutes
• Sugar Strength: +1 STR for 10 minutes
• Sugar Vision: +1 PER for 10 minutes

It's worth mentioning that the Spooky Candy Bowl will only dispense to players wearing Halloween outfits and will be limited to one piece of candy from their bowl per hour.
