As we enter October and the Halloween season approaches, Fallout 76 is gearing up for its annual event, Spooky Scorched. This event will introduce plenty of Halloween-themed content, along with some eerie rewards.

Fallout 76 Spooky Scorched Event Start Date

The Spooky Scorched event in Fallout 76 replaces the previous seasonal public event, Mischief Night, which was available in the game before. While Bethesda has yet to announce the release date for this year’s event, we anticipate it will run from late October (previously starting on the 22nd) until the first week of November (previously ending on the 5th).

Though the exact date is still unconfirmed, we will update this article as we approach the middle of the month and the date is revealed. Thankfully, the wait will be worthwhile, as there is plenty of content we can expect in this year’s Spooky Scorched event. Let’s discuss that next.

Fallout 76 Spooky Scorched Event Content and Rewards

For this year’s Spooky Scorched event, we expect content similar to what we've seen in previous years. This includes Halloween-themed enemies known as Spooky Scorched, which will spawn among regular foes and drop unique items like Mystery Candy and Spooky Treat bags.

Additionally, new Halloween-themed areas will be introduced, providing more locations to explore for special Halloween items, each offering unique effects. For instance, last year's event featured Mystery Candy, which granted candy-themed effects such as Sugar Rush, giving you +2 AGI for 10 minutes.

Finally, there will be new challenges to complete that offer special Halloween-themed rewards, such as defeating a certain number of Spooky-themed enemies or constructing event-themed structures. There may also be new features added, but we won't know for sure until we get closer to the event's start date.
