Fallout London Keeps Crashing: Solutions and Fixes

Offering players a DLC-sized mod that brings the apocalypse to the UK capital, Fallout London is arguably one of the most anticipated mods of all time. Featuring the iconic voices of Baldur's Gate 3's Neil Newbon and Doctor Who's Colin Baker, it's safe to say Team FOLON have pulled out all the stops.

But, it's worth remembering that this is a mod, not an official DLC from Bethesda. As such, crashes, bugs, and more are to be expected. In fact, players have already encountered their fair share of issues.

How To Fix Fallout London Crashes

Players have been identifiying the mod's 'Train section' as an area that spurs on the most crashes. After passing the cutscene, or skipping it, the game crashes and boots players back to the desktop. 

The current fix involves downloading and installing an additional mod — the Buffout 4 mod via Nexas Mods. It's this mod that helps fix a number of various bugs within Fallout 4. With the Buffout 4 mod installed, you'll then want to open the Buffout 4 zip folder and look for the F4SE folder. You'll then need to find the F4SE folder in your Fallout 4 game folder, under data. 

Simply overwrite the F4SE folder in your Fallout 4 game folder with the Buffout 4 F4SE folder. Then, in your Fallout 4 folder look for the f4se_loader.exe and run it as Administrator.

Step-by-Step Solution

• Download Buffout 4 from Nexus Mods.
• Open the Buffout 4 zip folder and look for the F4SE folder.
• Open the Fallout 4 game folder and look for the F4SE folder.
• Replace the F4SE folder in the game folder with the one downloaded from Buffout 4. 
• Open the Fallout 4 game folder and look for f4se_loader.exe.
• Run the .exe as an Administrator.
