Team FOLON have achieved an impressive feat with Fallout: London, with the title having become the fastest-redeemed product on GOG. The fan-made mod takes the essence (and assets) of Bethesda's Fallout 4 and relocates them to the heart of the UK capital.
Despite a few bugs and crashed, the mod has been highly welcomed by Fallout fans, owing in no small part to it being available to claim for free. As a result, the mod was redeemed over 500,000 times in just 24 hours — a record for GOG's 16-year history.
"We are blown away by the support for the project, and the amount of positivity we;ve received" the dev team said. "Your feedback is instrumental in our continued efforts of troubleshooting and bug fixing, which we will continue until Fallout: London is as polished as it can be."
It seems Team FOLON aren't planning on calling it a day now that Fallout: London is out in the wild, having issued the first update for the mod that aims to stamp out a lot of early issues, including the notable 'train crash' in the game's opening hours.
Fallout: London does more than just reuse certain assets from Fallout 4. It recreates iconic imagery commonly found in the city, as well as provide a whole host of new and terrifying enemies.
