As you get rolling and explore the world of Enshrouded, resources like wood logs and stone will start to become easier to find. However, one of the more challenging ones to gather early on are Metal Scraps. These tiny chunks of metal are necessary for a few early crafting recipes, and there are a few places to look in Enshrouded.
Where to Find Metal Scraps in Enshrouded
Gathering stone might be straight-forward once you've gotten a pickaxe, but Metal Scraps remain a bit harder to come by. Once you've got your first Flame Altar in place and can safely do some searching, Longkeep is going to be your destination for some Metal Scraps.
Ultimately, you need to break things. And by things, we mean everything you can possibly find. Use your hatchet or another weapon, and start searching around Longkeep for any items that are breakable. Barrels, tables, small containers, big transportation carts, all of these can be struck and broken up to drop resources.
While many of them will drop wood logs, some will drop a few Metal Scraps. As is expected in Enshrouded, you'll also have a few locations in the shroud that have items you can use. As seen in the image above, there's a staircase in a small shrouded area in the northwest corner of the Longkeep ruins.
Head down there and continue to use your weapon to break everything in sight. Between this spot, the various barrels and items around Longkeep, and the large wooden carts, you should be able to get a handful of Metal Scraps. You may have to wait or reload to get things to respawn, so be sure you're using Metal Scraps to craft important items early.
