If you would like to know, the 14-time World Champion recently revealed he has clocked in plenty of hours worthy to be quite the venomous Elden Lord.

The Elden Ring community has certainly had its fair share of notable players, content creators, and other personalities praising the game since its release in 2022. From lore theorists like SmoughTown and Vaatividya to Let Me Solo Her and Jacksepticeye have braved the Lands Between, but it was a massive surprise after learning that one of professional wrestling's most legendary figures happens to be a huge Elden Ring player.

WWE Superstar Randy Orton tweeted back in April 2022 that he too joined the legions of players globally in the Lands Between in response to a fan tweet, feeling "inclined to respond" before resuming "to slaying Demi-gods and absorbing their runes." More than two years later, following that iconic tweet, he updated how many hours the venomous Elden Lord had spent in-game.

WWE uploaded the latest episode of the "What Do You Wanna Talk About?" web series hosted by the current Undisputed Universal Champion Cody Rhodes (a big Zelda fan in his own right) on 15th August 2024. The Champ invited his long-time friend and mentor Orton onto his bus, where they discussed "their longstanding history," who they considered to be the G.O.A.T. (the greatest of all time), Nutella, Mexico, and, of course, video games.

The conversation starts at the 20:08 time stamp; after briefly mentioning John Cena's appearance in Mortal Kombat 1 as Peacemaker, the conversation quickly moves onto Elden Ring. The 14-time World Champion revealed that he has put in "like 600 hours" into Elden Ring but stated that he had "a lot of time" on his hands when he was out on injury between 2022 and 2023, having spinal fusion surgery.

While professing his love for Elden Ring, Rhodes brought up an earlier conversation where Orton had asked him about Elden Ring. And while the 14-time World Champion is tackling Shadow of the Erdtree, Rhodes hasn't played the high-fantasy game himself or, at the very least, not started.

Granted, Rhodes has been actively busy defending the Undisputed Universal Championship after "finishing the story" at WrestleMania 40, defeating Roman Reigns, who returned at this year's SummerSlam. Orton may become a 15-time World Champion if he can beat current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at the upcoming PLE Bash in Berlin on 31st August 2024, so he may be halting slaying more Great Enemies and "absorbing their runes" until then.
