Elden Ring Publisher Shares Advice to Make Shadow of the Erdtree Easier

It's no secret that Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree has seen rave reviews since its launch on 21 June 2024. However, some gamers also believe the Shadow Realm is just way too hard, over-tuned in fact. 

For those who are finding the expansion too difficult, Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco took to Twitter (X) to share a message, and it wasn't words of encouragement, "git gud" or "praise the sun."

No, instead, it was a piece of advice in order to make the DLC content a bit easier. The publisher simply stated: "This is a suggestion to level up your Scadutree Blessing."

No, that isn't a sly way of calling out players. Instead, it is some really good advice. You see, across the Shadow Realm, Tarnished can find Scadutree Fragments, which can be used at Sites of Grace to level up their Scadutree Blessing (to a max of 20). This buff increases your damage output and reduces the damage you receive by roughly 5% for each level in the Shadow Realm. 

Since it's release on 21 June 2024, the Shadow of the Erdtree user reviews on Steam did drop to "mixed" due both to players complaining about the difficulty, and poor performance of the DLC on certain PCs.
