No Elden Ring DLC news, but we do have a few new game changes for those interested:

- Fixed a bug that prevented other players' positions from being displayed correctly on the compass and the map during multiplayer sessions aside from the Colosseums.
Elden Ring and Dark Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki said: "As for Elden Ring, we have several more things we want to do" during a recent speech at The Game Awards 2022.
Elden Ring took home the award for Game of the Year at The Game Awards, but the acceptance speech is where things got really interesting.
And no, we're not referring to the strange kid that turned up at the end talking about Bill Clinton.
Hidetaka Miyazaki said (via translator) that fans should stay tuned, because he's working on "even more interesting" things to come.
He also added that specifically for Elden Ring "we still have several more things we want to do. So getting this GOTY award, really really encourages us."
Personally to us, that sounds like we might yet see more DLC for Elden Ring in the future!
We can't help but wonder if an Elden Ring paid DLC will get a teaser at The Game Awards 2022. We aren't holding our breaths, as the free PvP-focused DLC just released. However, the game is nominated for several rewards, so a story-focused DLC tease isn't out of the question.

Perhaps it's been done to avoid any leaks ahead of the Game Awards later this week, but Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have just announced a new free Elden Ring DLC update.
The 'Colosseum Update' is set to release on December 7 and features a new PVP mode.
“The Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell and Caelid will open their gates, allowing players to engage in battles such as duels, free-for-alls and team fights,” a press release reads.

Check out the awesome video from the YouTube channel RageGamingVideos discussing the recent Elden Ring DLC leaks, 30 bosses, and the lore.
Reportedly datamined from the 1.07 update, newly leaked information about Elden Ring's upcoming DLC was revealed via a Reddit thread. Credit goes to dataminer Sekiro Dubi.
Leaked information includes:
- New hair, six new (unnamed) weapon categories & new AI goals
- New legacy dungeon-related map files, new Colosseum map files suggesting gauntlet type addition, map changes made at most divine towers
- In the section where boss flags are declared, they left out room for 30 flags for DLC purposes, but that does not mean 30 bosses will be added they just made room for those ( in the base game, excluding the repeats, there are dot 68 bosses in terms of unique animations & model used so DLC will probably have 10-15 )
- 16 NPC entries in the files called "Someone Yet Unseen"
The makers of official Elden Ring game guides have delayed Volume II until "early 2023," and fans speculate this may point towards an Elden Ring DLC release date window.
With the Elden Ring 1.7 update, FromSoftware added "separate damage scaling for PvP", which leads us to believe the game's first DLC might be PvP-Focused. Further, Lance McDonald noted the update includes references to " two new maps that do not yet otherwise exist in the game data" in the code and Ray Tracing support.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Release Date Speculation
Update on 21 February: The official release date for the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is 21 June 2024.
Original text follows.
The Colosseum free PvP update (1.08) released on 7th December 2022. However, pinpointing a release date window for an Elden Ring paid DLC might just be as difficult as taking down Malenia using a Dance Pad as a controller...
Judging by past SoulsBorne titles, we know that FromSoftware generally takes less than one year to produce a big piece of DLC content, often seen as full expansions, for their titles; except for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Game Title | Release Date | First DLC Release | Time Before DLC |
Demon's Soul Remake | 12th Nov 2020 | N/A | N/A |
Dark Souls | 22nd Sept 2011 | 24th Aug 2012 | 11 Months |
Dark Souls 2 | 11th March 2014 | 22nd July 2014 | 3 Months 1 week |
Dark Souls 3 | 24th March 2016 | 21st Oct 2016 | 7 Months |
Bloodborne | 24th March 2015 | 22nd Nov 2015 | 8 Months |
Sekiro | 21st March 2019 | 29th Oct 2020 | 19 Months |
Elden Ring releases on 25th February 2022, so going by some historical data on FromSoftware titles, we expect the game's first DLC to release before 25th February 2023. However, there's no official word on the possible expansion at the time of writing.
We will update you as soon as an Elden Ring DLC/Expansion is officially announced and what the release date might be.
Elden Ring Barbarians of the Badlands Leaked?
Some leaks have suggested that Elden Ring's first DLC will be called Barbarians of the Badlands. As a full-scale expansion, Barbarians of the Badlands is reportedly set outside the scope of the Lands Between.
If you paid close attention to the game's lore, you would know that the Badlands is where Tarnished got exiled after Godfrey lost his grace.
The Tarnished, including Godfrey, perished in the Badlands. During the Elden Ring prologue, Tarnished returned to the Lands Between. If the first Elden Ring DLC is, in fact, Barbarians of the Badlands, it might take place in the past.
Keep in mind that the little leaked information about Barbarians of the Badlands should be taken with a large helping of salt until FromSoftware or Bandai Namco reveals official info.
At this point, all Elden Ring DLC/Expansion content is pure speculation. Some believe it could be focused on Melania's brother, Miquella, described as "the most fearsome Empyrean of all".
Alternatively, there's speculation that Elden Ring's first DLC could be focused on PvP, set in that massive Colosseum in the Caelid area.
Will Elden Ring Have Multiple DLCs?
While there is a chance developer FromSoftware could release more than one Elden Ring DLC, no information about how many DLCs the game will have is currently available.
Except for the Demon's Soul Remake, every other Soulsborne title has received at least one big DLC.
For reference, let's look at FromSoftware's SoulsBorne titles and how many DLCs they've received.
- Dark Souls - One DLC.
- Dark Souls 2 - Two DLCs.
- Dark Souls 3 - Two DLCs.
- Bloodborne - One DLC.
- Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - One free DLC.
Our best guess is that Elden Ring will receive at least one big, expansion-size DLC and possibly a few one or more minor DLC.
We will update this article as soon as more information about an Elden Ring DLC becomes available.
