Dying Light 2 Stay Humans brings players to a brand new location nestled in the heart of Europe.
The Central European city of Villedor was once your typical fairytale-like town of Europe, with a lot of gorgeous, well-preserved old architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, attractive pedestrian areas... you get the picture.
Now, over 20 years after the Harran Virus outbreak, it lies in ruins, covered in overgrowth and traces of what was once a living city.
Nonetheless, it is still a huge location with various settlements scattered in different districts of Villedor, and if you plan to often visit various locations and points of interest, there will still be plenty of walking around.
Walking is definitely not an ideal method of transport in Villedor, both because of all the danger lurking around and because of the sheer distances you will need to cross in order to come to desired destinations.
But are there cars or any other vehicles in Dying Light 2?
Does Dying Light 2 have vehicles?
Villedor is a huge place and there are so many areas to visit and travel to, and it would be rather convenient to just jump into a car and start driving around the city.
But unfortunately, there are no vehicles in Dying Light 2. The city simply isn't designed with cars in mind, which you will quickly learn as you start exploring different areas of Villedor.
Heck, you will barely be able to walk around on foot at ground level, let alone try to drive something through the ruins and vegetation. The city has deteriorated over the decades, as the society has collapsed and there's no one to keep roads and other infrastructure in the pristine condition required for traffic.
On top of that, all industries have ceased to exist, and that means there are no spare parts needed to keep vehicles functional, or fuel to power them. You'll see a lot of derelict vehicles on the streets but they are beyond repair.
The only type of transport rather than walking/parkour you will have is the Paraglider, which you will unlock when you get to the second area of the map. The Paraglider is a part of the Nightrunner gear, and it's a great tool to glide through the air, it will help you reach various objects without the need to go down.
One final thing we would like to note is that Dying Light didn't have vehicles at launch as well, but they were eventually added as a part of The Following expansion, which introduced buggies.
That means that there's a possibility for vehicles to be added later in Dying Light 2, especially because the developers are planning to support the game for at least another five years.
And there you have it, now you know everything about vehicles in Dying Light 2.
