Where To Find The Jadeite Orb In Dragon's Dogma 2

In Dragon's Dogma 2, plenty of sidequests can have multiple outcomes depending on how you approach each task. After arriving in the Checkpoint Rest Town, the Arisen will meet Offulve, a man who has stolen, and then lost, a rather exquisite treasure: the Jadeite Orb. But he's not the only one looking for it. 

Eager to get it back, he asks the Arisen to locate the orb. Thus begind the "Hunt for the Jadeite Orb" quest. The Arisen will then be accosted by the orb's true owner, Everard, who will also ask you to find and return the orb. 

Hunt For The Jadeite Orb Quest Walkthrough

If you have a hired pawn in your party, they might suggest where you can begin your search. You'll need to head back to Vernworth (to Vernworth Gaol, specifically), to speak with a captured bandit. 

Speak With A Bandit

Head into the gaol (be mindful that this is a restricted area) and venture into the block of cells in the room to the right (not the one where you found the Magistrate). 

There, you'll find a bandit locked up who will offer information should you pay him 500 Gold. He'll tell you he doesn't actually know where the Jadeite Orb is, but offers advice for you to check Ibrahim's Scrap Store. Unsurprisingly, the Scrap Store is back in the Checkpoint Rest Town, so hop on an oxcart and head back there. 

Head To Ibrahim's Scrap Store

Locate Ibrahim's Scrap Store in the Checkpoint Scrap Store and browse his wares. You can see he's selling the Jadeite Orb for 7500 Gold. You can end the quest here by delivering the Jadeite Orb to either Offulve or Everard. Alternatively, you can appease both and recieve both rewards. Here's how.

Craft A Forgery Of The Jadeite Orb

Ibrahim offers a special service at his Scrap Store, which is that he can make forgeries of nearly any item. Request a forgery of the Jadeite Orb (2000 Gold), then wait a few days for him to finish. Once he's finished, you can choose to give the real Jadeite Orb to one party, and the fake to another.

Who Should You Give The Jadeite Orb To?

In our playthrough, we chose to give the true Jadeite Orb to Offulve, who will sell it off for the money to rid himself of the overbearing Everard and earn his freedom. As a reward, Offulve will give the Arisen an Elite Camping Kit and 3000 Gold.

We then gave the fake to Everard, who simply wished to see the orb returned to him. However, Everard will wish to check the Jadeite Orb's authenticity. For this, he'll lead the Arisen back to Ibrahim. Everard will leave while Ibrahim does his appraisal, during this which time you can slip him a bribe of 1000 Gold, then 2000 Gold, then 3000 Gold, then finally 6000 Gold. After which, he'll agree to lie about the appraisal. 

Passing the appraisal is good enough for Everard, and he'll accept Ibrahim's word. He'll then give you a Ring of Skullduggery and 12000 Gold. This completes the "Hunt for the Jadeite Orb" quest.
