Less than a week after launch, BioWare has already promised some bug fixes are on the way for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The game has seen widespread success and plenty of praise in recent days, but a few players are still dealing with frustrating glitches that can pull the rug out from under any fun they're having. While we don't know every last thing set to be fixed in the first Veilguard update, BioWare has promised to address a few key issues.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Update, Early Patch Notes Revealed
According to a tweet from BioWare, the first post-launch update for Dragon Age: The Veilguard is on the way. They stopped short of giving a concrete release date, but players can look forward to this patch deploying "later this week to all platforms."
The following fixes have already been confirmed for this Veilguard update:
- Fixed an issue where some customizations were not applied to the Inquisitor correctly in one scene.
- Fixed an issue where DLSS options could end up “grayed-out” on a 40-series Nvidia GPU. (PC only)
- Fixed an issue that caused Companion Skill Points to reset.
The DLSS fix will be welcome news to any PC players using that type of GPU, but the one most likely to excite players is the Companion Skill Points reset. Not being able to properly upgrade your companions to aid you in battle would make even skilled players struggle in some battles, but relief isn't far away.
BioWare also stated that this Dragon Age: The Veilguard update will feature more bug fixes, a few minor balance changes, and crash mitigations. The timing of the tweet releasing late on Monday makes Wednesday or Thursday the most likely days for the Veilguard update to deploy, but they may end up waiting for Friday. Either way, players facing some of these can rest assured most of the issues should be remedied by the coming weekend.
