Dragon Age: The Veilguard Release Time, How to Preload Before Launch

The wait is almost over for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and fans are itching to dive into one of the most highly anticipated games in recent years. Dragon Age: Inquisition delivered the last installment of this series an entire decade ago, and plenty has changed in that time. While Inquisition launched on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, new arrival The Veilguard will be exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We've known the release date for Dragon Age: The Veilguard was set for October 31, and now exact release times for the global launch have been confirmed. Some games still use regional variances on release time, but The Veilguard is instead going with a simultaneous worldwide launch.

This means that the majority of players in the Americas and Europe won't have to wait until late in the night to start playing. However, the simultaneous launch does mean players in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand will have to dive in late at night (or very early in the morning) and technically get their release on November 1, 2024.

How to Preload Dragon Age: The Veilguard

If you'll be playing on Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5, make sure to secure your pre-order for Dragon Age: The Veilguard now and you should be able to preload ahead of tomorrow's launch. Xbox players also have the option of finding Dragon Age on their Xbox App and initiating a console download from there.

Unfortunately, PC players will have to plan a bit differently. Dragon Age: The Veilguard won't have a preload option on PC, and the recommended system requirements suggest players have about 100 GB of available storage. Depending on your internet speeds, that could go by quickly or may take a few hours.

As always, players have the option of waiting until after launch if they're not sure about spending the full purchase price just yet. However, big Dragon Age fans should keep in mind that the Blood Dragon cosmetic armor for all three classes is a preorder exclusive.
