Diablo Immortal Tristram Cathedral Dungeon: Unlock, Location, The Butcher

The iconic Tristram Cathedral location, hailing from the original Diablo back in 1996, returns as a new dungeon in Diablo Immortal with the Dark Rebirth update! If you want to experience Tristram Cathedral in Diablo Immortal as soon as possible, we've got you covered.

In this article, we explain the requirements to unlock and the location of Diablo Immortal's Tristram Cathedral dungeon and the terrors that await inside for the heroes of Sanctuary to face, so let's jump in.

Diablo Immortal Tristram Cathedral Location & Requirements

If you log into Diablo Immortal after 22 September with the Dark Rebirth update, you will see a new questline to Wortham, as townsfolk have been having some strange dreams and disappearing during the night.

As you can see from the image above, the Tristram Cathedral location will be marked on your map in the Wortham area.  Remember, you can teleport to the new Diablo Immortal dungeon as well, making it VERY easy to get to the location without much movement. 

To start your journey, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• Complete the Ancients' Cradle questline, finishing up with Creation's Husk.
• Reach Hell Difficulty III.

Most Diablo Immortal players should have no issue with these requirements and can jump in right away!

Diablo Immortal Tristram Cathedral Enemies & Bosses

Diablo Immortal's new Tristram Cathedral dungeon features relatively standard gameplay and an iconic boss all Diablo fans know about. Yes, The Butcher is back to smash your heads in while he screams, "Fresh Meat!"

There's also a new enemy type called the Shardborne. Blizzard explains:

These grotesque beings are the unfortunate result of the corrupted Worldstone; shards penetrate the flesh of humans, reanimating the dead into lethal attackers, and slowly decay the living until they’re a twisted amalgamation of flesh. Tread carefully when in their presence—the slightest exposure to Worldstone shards will send them into a rabid craze.

We don't want to spoil much else if you want to go in blind, but we can say that The Butcher isn't the final boss of the Tristram Cathedral...happy hunting!
