New Diablo Immortal Class, Story & Content Teased

In 2024, Diablo Immortal players had a tonne of content to enjoy, and we finally got to face the Lord of Terror himself in the Shattered Sanctuary update released in mid-December!

With major content updates every quarter and a bunch of events in between, Diablo Immortal players were never starved for content, and this trend will continue in 2025 and beyond...I am thrilled to report that in 2025, prospective Nephalem has a lot to look forward to.

In a post entitled "A Year of Valor and Adventure," the developers thanked the community and gave a quick overview of what we experienced in 2024. They also added that 980,000 Tempests (the latest class released in early May) were created before teasing that Diablo Immortal will enter the "Epoch of Madness."

Diablo head at Blizzard, Rod Fergusson, then explained that:

Sanctuary may have survived this year’s horrors, but even darker events loom on the horizon. In 2025, Diablo Immortal is poised to enter its Epoch of Madness. After turning on Diablo, Albrecht returns with even more sinister motives that will lead you deep into the mysterious darkness of a long-sought primeval forest, where nature itself poses threats beyond comprehension. This uncharted land is inhabited by ancient mystics and monstrous beasts and promises to test even the strongest among us.

The "primeval forest" is likely a new zone in Sanctuary, and the developer also noted "new quests" that will plunge players into the heart of Sanctuary. There will also be more crossover events that the developers are excited about.

Lastly, Rod Fergusson officially mentioned a new class, stating, "You'll play in a new way as a new class emerges." At the time of writing, there is no official information about the new Diablo Immortal class. However, data mines and leaks suggest that it may be the Druid.
