Blizzard unleashed the AFK-farming Fishing "activity" during Diablo Immortal Season 10, and with it, a tonne of rewards for players to acquire. Arguably the biggest bragging rights rewards are the two cosmetic fishing rods of Rare and Legendary quality.
This guide explains how you can get your hands on both the Rare and Legendary Diablo Immortal fishing rods and how you can equip them, so let's get started.
How To Get Rare & Legendary Fishing Rods in Diablo Immortal
If you haven't played Diablo Immortal in a while, then when you log in, you will see a quest in your log tasking you to go to Bilefen and speak to a fisherman. The quest is called "Greatest Pastime" and requires a character level of 43 to start.
Once fishing has been unlocked, you can "oh-fish-ially begin your pursuit of Sanctuary’s underwater dwellers." Players are automatically provided with their first fishing rod, but it is not much to look at.
There are Rare and Legendary fishing rods to unlock in Diablo Immortal. To get stylish fishing rods, you need to do the following:
- Catch 15 types of fish to unlock the Rare fishing rod (Lancewood).
- Catch 35 types of fish to unlock the Legendary fishing rod (Glimmerwood).
You can head into your Beastiary and to the bottom section, called Angler's Log, then click on the rewards list and claim your rods once enough fish types have been caught. If you don't know how to get all the fish types and their locations in Diablo Immortal, our guide has you covered.
How To Equip New Fishing Rod in Diablo Immortal
While the first fishing rod gets automatically equipped when you unlock the feature, the Legendary and Rare fishing rods do not. We had some trouble equipping a new fishing rod in Diablo Immortal and thought we would share the solution.
Instead of being in the cosmetic tab (despite not having any stats), both the Rare and Legendary fishing rods in Diablo Immortal will show up in your regular inventory under the items tab. You will need to find them in your inventory and tap on them, then equip them to get them to show on your character while fishing.
So there you have it, a step-by-step guide to getting both the Rare and Legendary fishing rod items in Diablo Immortal, showing your angler's prowess and how you can equip them with relative ease.
