Diablo Immortal 2023 Content Plan & Major Updates

Blizzard continues to deliver monthly content for Diablo Immortal on PC and mobile devices, from minor to major updates, smaller patches featuring bug fixes, and new seasons with battle passes to level up. But what is the developer's content plan for Diablo Immortal in 2023 exactly?

This article outlines Blizzard's Diablo Immortal content plan for 2023, with new features, the number of Major updates we expect to see, and much more, so let's dive in.

Diablo Immortal Major Content Updates in 2023

In 2022, Blizzard released two Major Diablo Immortal content updates, which included new enemy types, a new Zone (Stormpoint), and a dungeon, to name but a few additions. 

For 2023, the developers have big plans for Diablo Immortal. In fact, according to the Community Lead for Diablo Immortal, PezRadar, via a post on Reddit, the developer plans to release a total of four (4) Major updates for Diablo Immortal. 

This includes new Helliquary bosses, gameplay, improvements to clans, in-game social features, and more. The last piece of new content mentioned is that they are "introducing a new class". Yes, a new Diablo Immortal class has been confirmed.

Remember, these are only the Major content updates coming to Diablo Immortal. We will still see monthly new seasons, battle passes, and a host of other improvements/additions throughout the year.

New Diablo Immortal Quests & Gameplay Updates

Diablo Immortal will also get new Main Questlines and Side Quests throughout the year. Blizzard's PezRadar explains: 

Sanctuary is a land plagued by constant demonic threat—simultaneously the Worldstone Shards force sudden and violent change to the landscape on a whim. This year, Immortal’s narrative will continue to grow through new Main Questlines and Side Quests that further develop Sanctuary’s inhabitants.

Lastly, the Diablo Immortal Community Lead touched on a few other additions to come, which are quite expected. In terms of gameplay, the developers will continue to release new Legendary items to "broaden Class build options."

Lastly, the developers also plan to add a new competitive mode in Diablo Immortal sometime during 2023, and they casually revealed a fishing activity! PezRadar finishes things off by stating:
