Another week in the Season of Plunder means another weekend where Xur appears for Guardians to make use of their Legendary Shards. Like every other week in the game, you can start looking for the Exotic vendor starting on September 9.
Two things are always certain about the mysterious vendor: he'll be around for a few days and he always changes his location. The good news is that Xur only ever frequents a few locations around the system. Our guide will tell you where to find him and what he's selling this week.
Destiny 2 - Xur location and Exotics September 9
For the week of September 9, you can find Xur hiding out in the Tower itself. To find him in the Tower, you need to head towards the Hangard which is on the left side as soon as you spawn into the area. If you're looking from the map view, then the Hangar area is located to the right side.
Follow the path through the Hangar until you reach where Amanda Holiday and Saint-14 are located. Move to the left from where they are and follow the path up to a new pathway. Xur is located on that railing on the top left of the Hangard map.

There are two other locations where the Exotic vendor can appear on any given week. One is the Watcher's Grave on Nessus and the other is Winding Cove in the EDZ. While it's always random, three main locations makes finding Xur fairly easy.
Once you've located him for the week of September 9, it's time to decide what you want to purchase. Nearly all of his items can be purchased for Legendary Shards on the first page, including one Exotic Engram without any Cipher. Below you can find all the Exotics that he has on offer for the weekend in Destiny 2.
- The Colony - Void Grenade Launcher
- Gwisin Vest - Hunter Chest Armor
- An Insurmountable Skullfort - Titan Helmet
- Skull of Dire Ahamkara - Warlock Helmet
- Hawkmoon (Hand Cannon) - Eye of the Storm Perk
- Dead Man's Tale (Scout Rifle) - Outlaw Perk
- Exotic Engram
Xur also sells Legendary weapons and armor that can be purchased for Glimmer and Legendary Shards. Each one is fairly cheap but they all start at 1350 light, so you'll need to have some expendable gear and Upgrade Modules to make the most of the equipment.
If you like anything on the list, make sure you give Xur a visit before Sunday comes to a close in Destiny 2.
