Destiny 2 is one of the most played multiplayer games of this generation, even on platforms like Google Stadia. According to an analysis by clouddosage.com, an average of 5,000 to 7,000 players played Destiny 2 on Stadia in 2022.
Sadly, this is about to change as Google Stadia's servers are shutting down soon, and Destiny 2 will no longer be available to play. While this is disappointing, thankfully, players can transfer their Destiny 2 Stadia save files to other platforms. Here's how it works.
Destiny 2 Stadia Save File Transfer Explained
To transfer their Destiny 2 Stadia save files, players have to activate Cross Save on Bungie.net. Fortunately, it's very easy to do and involves only three steps.
Firstly, players would have to authenticate their accounts, which means signing into their Stadia accounts and verifying that it is their account. Next, players would have to sign in and verify their account on the platform they wish to play Destiny 2 now (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or all three of them.)
Once the accounts are authenticated, players have to choose the characters that appear on all platforms, which in this case, would be their Stadia character(s).
The third and final step is to review the step and activate Cross Save, which players won't be able to alter for the next 90 days.
Players who don't enable Cross Save before 18th January 2023 will lose their Destiny 2 Stadia characters, items, emblems, Eververse purchases, and more.
And that's it! That concludes our guide on how to transfer Destiny 2 Stadia save files to other platforms.
