The second week of Season of the Haunted has brought the redesigned Iron Banner to Destiny 2. The PvP activity ditches Power Level advantages, moves away from the Control game type and says goodbye to weekly bounties.
As a result, plenty of new systems are in place to make the experience more fun since it'll now be around for fewer weeks each season, two in total. There are no PL advantages, Rift joins as the new playable mode, and daily challenges replace weekly bounties.
During the first four days of a new Iron Banner in Season of the Haunted, a new daily challenge will appear. Completing them will give you some benefits and rewards.
Iron Banner daily challenges
The IB daily challenges in Destiny 2 can be completed at any point during Iron Banner week. This means that, if you have time to spare during the weekend, you can blast through all of them one after the other.
For week 1 of Iron Banner in Season of the Haunted, the daily challenges will appear on the following days:
- 31st May
- 1st June
- 2nd June
- 3rd June
If you have trouble finding where to locate these daily challenges in-game, don't worry, you're not the only one, as Bungie has confused thousands of players with their wording.
The daily challenges can be found when you hover over the Iron Banner tab inside the Crucible one. If you see it marked as a "weekly challenge" that's because completing the four daily challenges will net you extra rewards.
- Destiny 2 Duality Dungeon - All Weapons And How To Get
- All Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner, and Nightfall weapons leaving Destiny 2
- Destiny 2 Austringer Hand Cannon - How To Get And God Roll
- Destiny 2 Duality Dungeon - All Armor And How To Get
As it stands, completing one daily challenge will give you Pinnacle Gear as well as a boost to your Iron Banner Rank points earnings, an essential part of the IB grind as it'll let you progress through Bracus Forge's/Lord Saladin's reward tiers faster.
The available challenges so far are:
- Daily challenge 1 - Complete three Iron Banner matches with a Void or Solar subclass equipped.
- Daily challenge 2 - Complete four Iron Banner matches with a Void or Solar subclass equipped.
We'll update this page as more daily challenges come online in the forthcoming days.
Remember that if you're unfamiliar with how Iron Banner works now, you can do the introductory Forging Iron quest which will give you a better rundown of the activity.
Week 1 of Iron Banner ends on 7th June. If you don't manage to complete all of Lord Saladin's rank rewards, the activity will come back on 12th July.
One thing that's yet to be confirmed is if daily challenges will accumulate between both weeks. Our guess is that each Iron Banner week will feature exclusive challenges.
If you manage to sneak in some Destiny 2 game time, we recommend you strive to complete those as they are a limited-time source for fast Pinnacle Gear.
