How to get the Taken Root triumph in Destiny 2

Bungie's shared-world shooter Destiny 2 continues to be immensely popular as the release of its next big expansion, The Witch Queen, looms on the horizon. The ongoing Season of the Lost will be Destiny 2's longest season as it set the stage for The Witch Queen and its multitude of offerings.

The Witch Queen is still quite far away, though Destiny 2 players should have plenty up their sleeves with the weekly missions and challenges of Season of the Lost. There are plenty of triumphs for players to pursue this season, a whole lot of which is tied to the shattered realm mission that players undertake every week. Here's a step by step guide to completing the Taken Root triumph in Destiny 2.

How to complete Taken Root triumph in Destiny 2

The Taken Root triumph in Destiny 2 requires players to investigate the descent, an area which could be a bit tricky to find since it's not near the first, second or third beacons. Instead, this place lies beneath the surface of the location where players respawn at the beginning. Players can't invoke barrier breach in the area unless they have aligned the first beacon.

The first beacon is present in the church called Abbey of Whispers, where players can also pursue and complete The Bells Triumph once they have aligned the beacon. After returning to the first area, players, as always, need to invoke the barrier breach and head on inside. Players need to take the first left inside, where lies the required chest. Looting the chest will complete the Taken Root triumph.
