With just a couple of weeks left in the year, it's time to give in to the festivities and await the adventures that await in 2023. If you're a Destiny 2 player, chances are you're playing the Dawning event 2022 and anticipating the Lightfall expansion.

Like all themed events this year, the Dawning 2022 adds an event card with a slew of challenges and rewards for you to pursue. You can get Personal Touch in Destiny 2 by killing combatants with melee abilities

You can get Personal Touch in Destiny 2 by killing combatants with melee abilities. The drop is random, so it might take several melee kills to get the desired amount.

There are several ways to decrease the cooldown rate of your melee abilities. If you don't want to get into the nitty gritty, we simply recommend using the Monte Carlo exotic auto rifle. The Monte Carlo Method perk reduces melee cooldown and also grants a chance to fully charge your melee on kills.

Why is Personal Touch not dropping in Destiny 2?

Both Personal Touch and Perfect Taste have low drop rates in the Dawning 2022 event.

Unfortunately, it seems the drop rate of Personal Touch is extremely low in the Dawning 2022 event as of this writing. It took us more than three hours to get a single Personal Touch in the Vanguard Ops playlist activity.

Personal Touch isn't the only Dawning recipe that's hard to acquire. Some players have reported spending hours farming for a single Perfect Taste.

Sadly, Bungie hasn't acknowledged the drop rate, and with the holiday season inbound, it may not get fixed anytime soon.
