Destiny 2 New Subclass Leaked

Destiny 2's long-rumored poison subclass might have leaked early. Here's everything we know about it to this point.
Destiny 2 New Subclass Leaked

Destiny 2 Season 18 is on the horizon, and fans are getting anxious for new info on this surprisingly mysterious new season. Bungie remains tight-lipped as usual, leaving all the big reveals and info for the last moment.

There's also a Destiny 2 showcase planned for 23rd August 2022, and many expect to see a trailer or at least some info dump on the game's next expansion - Lightfall. However, before that happens, there has been an interesting leak, which could be in regards to the game's long-rumored new subclass.

A snippet of gameplay was posted by notable Destiny 2 leaker, Destiny Leaks, on Twitter, which features a HUD with new green-colored logos for Super and three melee attacks.

According to Destiny Leaks, this footage was posted on a Bungie employer's art station account. As of this writing, the art station is no longer available to view.

Fans immediately started speculating that the logo is of the long-rumored poison or vapor subclass. Bungie hasn't added a new subclass to Destiny 2 since the Stasis subclass in 2020, so it's no surprise that this leak has piqued fans' attention.

Bungie hasn't officially addressed the situation nor hinted at any possibility of a new subclass being revealed at the upcoming Destiny 2 showcase, so fans should take this with a huge grain of salt.

That said, the fifth subclass for Destiny 2 alongside the Lightfall expansion doesn't seem too far-fetched, considering how aggressively the company has been overhauling all the previous subclasses to the current meta.

Either way, if a new Destiny 2 subclass is imminent, fans shouldn't expect to hear about it anytime soon since Bungie's new marketing strategy involves holding onto info until the last moment.

That's everything you need to know about the new Destiny 2 subclass leak.
