Destiny 2 Beyond Light Lost Sector exploit gone as Bungie issues hotfix

Destiny players found a quick way to reach the soft cap without breaking a sweat, and Bungie responded with an update that killed this exploit.
Destiny 2 Beyond Light Lost Sector exploit gone as Bungie issues hotfix

Destiny 2 players trying out Beyond Light during release found an easy and exploitable way to reach the new power level (PL) soft cap of 1200 for the start of Year 4, with Bungie taking notice, immediately shutting this method off.

We detailed the process in our quick guide, but the basic gist of it was that players farmed one of the shortest Lost Sector in the game near a Landing Zone in the EDZ to quickly make their way up from 1050 to 1200 PL in a matter of minutes.

Naturally, as more players looked to take advantage of this oversight from the developers, Bungie tweeted out that, in order to fix this issue, they had tweaked the drop rate of engrams from completing the Widow's Walk Lost Sector.

Due to an issue with the legendary engram drop rate in the Widow's Walk EDZ Lost Sector, we have lowered the rate to its intended frequency," they announced.

It seems players wanted to get a head start in the power level grind, especially knowing that the latest raid, Stone Crypt, will release in a couple of weeks, launching this upcoming 27th November.
