The animated series based on Motion Twin and Evil Empire's action roguelike game Dead Cellsis released with a new dubbing version to stream on selected platforms. The Dead Cells: Immortalis series was first released in June 2024 in French, with English and German subtitles eventually added, for which the Dead Cells developer recently announced that an English dubbed version will be available soon.

Well, that timing has arrived as the developer and streaming platform, the Animation Digital Network (ADM), has released the English dubbing for the first episode of the animated series, available to stream or watch now. As of writing, ten episodes are available in French dubbing and English subtitles via ADM, of which we anticipate a few more episodes will be released soon with English dubbing.

According to a recent developer post from Motion Twin, Dead Cells: Immortalis is an action comedy animated series that "takes place on (surprise, surprise) a cursed island that has been racked by a strange plague. After the island’s foolish King develops a remedy that ends up turning the population into monstrous creatures, prophecies depicting a flame-headed hero who will kill the crazy King begin to appear."

The first English dubbed episode of Dead Cells: Immortalis from French studio Bobbypins is available on ADM's streaming service and YouTube channel. The animated series was first released in June and had exclusive availability in France before it was available globally with English and German subtitles.

The show's animation style has received mixed reviews, with some agreeing that it fits the context of the series, while some disagreed, stating that it could've matched the game's art style for better execution. The team behind Dead Cells: Immortalis was also responsible for the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon spinoff series, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, available to stream on Netflix.
