Dead by Daylight's 2024 Design a Cosmetic Contest Kicks Off

Dead by Daylight's Community Cosmetic Contest is back for 2024, giving players an opportunity to design their dream cosmetics for both a killer and survivor. While the contest has gone on for several years now, 2024's is a little different. This year's Community Cosmetic Contest will add new categories - Badges and Banners - to replace the Killer and Survivor Charm categories in previous years.

For the first time in 2024, players will also get to vote for their favorite cosmetics in the final rounds. In prior rounds of the contest, developers chose the winning cosmetics from the many fan submissions, without there being a player voting round.

The contest's winners will not only earn a promo code for 25,000 Auric Cells (around a $200 value), but will also have their cosmetics added to the game. Submissions are open starting today, 29 July at 12 AM ET, until 19 August at 11:59 PM ET.

The Community Cosmetic Contests kicked off back in 2019, with Demon Slayer Feng Min and the Mr. Puddles Clown skin being added to the game that year. 2023's killer cosmetic winner was the Pagliacci skin for the Clown, along with a streetwear outfit for Yun-Jin.
