Dead By Daylight Bug Makes Male Survivors Vault Further

A Dead by Daylight bug causes male survivors to vault further than female survivors, causing issues for survivor players and killer players alike during gameplay.  Dead by Daylight Fog Whisperer and streamer Otzdarva pointed out the bug on Twitter, using gameplay footage to showcase it.

In the footage, a male survivor vaults a window, causing them to fall into the Trapper's trap on the other side. When the female survivor vaults the window, however, they end up standing just behind the trap, causing them to avoid stepping into it.

For killers like The Trapper and The Hag, who rely on precise trap placement to catch survivors, this seemingly minor bug can have major gameplay implications. It's also unfortunate for male survivors who end up falling into traps that female survivors won't.

It's unclear whether female survivors are vaulting not far enough or whether male survivors are vaulting too far - but either way, there's a discrepancy.  It's likely that Behaviour Interactive will fix the bug in a bugfix update coming soon, especially since DBD community members like Otzdarva have brought light to it... and it's more than just a visual bug affecting chases and the way players play the game.

YouTuber DStrike first pointed out the bug back in August - over a month ago - showcasing similar footage to the video posted by Otzdarva. The bug has yet to be fixed by developers in the newest Alien bugfix update.
