The Dead by Daylight community has been rife with excitement for the upcoming 7th anniversary Twisted Masquerade 2023 event, with the game's celebratory announcement broadcast a few weeks behind us and the in-game celebration just a few days ahead. Unfortunately, though, fans will have to wait just a little longer for the 7th-anniversary event to begin, as Dead by Daylight has announced that the celebration will be delayed on their Twitter account today.
Dead By Daylight 7th Anniversary Start Date
Following the delay, Dead by Daylight's 7th anniversary Twisted Masquerade event will now begin on 22nd June 2023 at 11 AM ET. It will last until 13 July 2023.
The new start date is just one day later than the originally planned start date for the celebration. You can take a look at the Twitter post where the delay was announced below:

While we'll have to wait a little longer for the event to begin than anticipated, it's likely that developers could make it up to players with some free Bloodpoints codes, or even an extension to the end of the event.
It's unknown why the event was delayed. In related news, many players are wondering if The Mastermind will be re-enabled before the start of the event, given that he is a fan-favorite killer and has been kill-switched for several days now. Perhaps issues with this killer could be the reason for the developers' pushing the celebration back a day, as they work to fix bugs in his code.
At the same time, developers might also just be putting some finishing touches on the event content and making sure that it's entirely bug-free before the celebration officially kicks off in a few days.
Those reasons are all just speculation. For now, we'll just have to wait until the event begins on 22nd June so players can start collecting their Twisted Masquerade masks and earning Bloodpoints fast. In the meantime, players can try out the new killer The Singularity, who was added to the game with Chapter 28: End Transmission.
