As the last update on the previous roadmap closes in, we're learning what else Disney Dreamlight Valley has planned before the year wraps up. The next major update is due this month with a new character arriving and the final chapter of A Rift in Time where players will foil Jafar's evil schemes, but there's plenty more on the way. We'll go over exactly what Disney Dreamlight Valley players can expect including new content and some long-awaited bug fixes.
Disney Dreamlight Valley 2024 Roadmap outlines multiple updates
Late last year, Disney Dreamlight Valley dropped a multi-month roadmap (seen above) as they debuted the A Rift in Time DLC expansion and brought Jack Skellington into the game for the first time. Since then, we've gotten full Monsters Inc. and Mulan realms, Daisy Duck's arrival, tons of bug fixes and quality of life improvements, and the second big chapter of that expansion featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
Following the Mulan release, the only thing left on that agenda is Tiana and the last third of A Rift in Time. Those were targeted for "Summer 2024," but the updated roadmap has these Disney Dreamlight Valley arrivals set for August 2024 and due this month. Tiana's Palace, some new outdoor decor, and a 1920s themed Star Path are all on the way.

While it won't be quite as extensive as some others, the October 2024 update is due to bring Timon and Pumba into Disney Dreamlight Valley as new characters. Since The Lion King realm already exists, players will be headed back there for some new quests and another step forward in dealing with the Forgetting. The same update will also include some smaller bug fixes and quality of life improvements.
While few details have been confirmed about it, the teaser for the final 2024 update appears to signal the arrival of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. This would be a fitting winter arrival and pair with last year's Jack Skellington addition, but there's also a big showcase stream on the way that will outline some of the 2025 plans before the end of this year.
