Disney Dreamlight Valley is partly a life-sim game in which, when you're not completing quests, you will spend your time doing simple day-to-day activities like gardening, mining, fishing, cooking, and more.
With so many comforting activities for you to partake in, it's natural that you may also get to have a pet that would accompany you in your daily endeavors. But what if you get bored of your current furry friend and want someone else to take their place for a while?
If you're wondering how to change your companion, you're in the right place. Our guide explains how to change your pet in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to change your pet in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can change your pet by simply opening up the menu and going to the Wardrobe section. From here, look for the Companions tab and select your desired pet from the ones available.
The Companions tab is in the first row, so you shouldn't have a problem finding it among everything else in the Wardrobe menu.
If you don't have any pets, well, you won't have to look far to find one. You will find a wide variety of friendly and not-so-friendly-looking animals in the different biomes of the Valley.
To make them your companion, you must approach them and feed them twice. However, remember that you can only give food to a particular animal once in 24 hours.

As you can guess, every animal has an affinity to a particular food type. For example, rabbits are more interested in eating carrots and other vegetables, whereas squirrels are crazy about peanuts and other dry fruits.
Once you have fed these animals twice, they will appear in the Companions tab.
