Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is undoubtedly one of the biggest video game releases of 2023. However, it's also one of the most skeptical-looking ones.
Ever since its reveal, Rocksteady Studios has released only a couple of story and cinematic trailers, with no gameplay walkthroughs or deep dives to give fans an idea of what to expect. As its May 2023 release date quickly draws near, official details on this ambitious new project from the studio behind Batman Arkham games remain surprisingly scarce.
Now, a new Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League in-game screenshot has surfaced, and if legit, it sheds more light on this upcoming game than Rocksteady itself in the last two years.
Please note: Take this information with a large helping of salt, as this is definitely just a rumor, and the leak could be fake.
The image, which first appeared on 4chan, showcases the four protagonists - Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark standing in the game's lobby. The UI, which resembles the modern Call of Duty games, in particular, Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, consists of options to customize Squad, Looks, Talents, and more. There is also apparently a battle pass section and an in-game store.
The inclusion of a battle pass in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is certainly the most surprising aspect of them all since none of the past Rocksteady Games has had any. It also opens up the possibilities of in-game currencies, cosmetic purchases, and micro-transactions.
Aside from these, the screenshot also reveals in-game options like Matchmaking, Difficulty, Game Mode, Chapter Select, and more.
It's too early to say if the leaked screenshot is legit or fake though given that it appeared on 4chan of all places, it could very likely be fake. As such, we suggest everyone take these pieces of information with a grain of salt.
While Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is in due of a big gameplay showcase, Rocksteady Studios released another story trailer for the game at The Game Awards 2022. Not only did this new trailer reveal the release date, but confirmed the return of The Batman, who's one of the antagonists in the game, and is helmed once again by the late Kevin Conroy.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League launches on 26th May 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
