Dave The Diver was one of the most surprising games to come out of 2023. The game sold over 1 million copies within the first 10 days of its release and it has only gone up since.
One thing that stands out about Dave The Diver is the constant developer support despite the fact that it is a single-player story game. Thanks to a recent update, players can now get Crab Traps in the game to catch new aquatic life. Here, we are going to go over how to get Crab Traps in Dave The Diver.
How To Unlock Crab Traps In Dave The Diver
Unlocking Crab Traps will take a bit of effort on your part to get it done. In the recent update for Dave The Diver, we got some information about what these Crab Traps can do, and how they're unlocked.
First, players need to make sure that they have access to the Sea People Village. Then they will get a mission from Duwa the Blacksmith after players clear their initial missions. This is the start of unlocking Crab Traps.
Once that is done, players will then talk to Mima in the Sea People Village. Afterward, players need to go to the surface and talk to Otto on the farm. He will then offer to build players a Crab Trap using lumber, scrap iron, rope, and a tiger shark tooth. Once those materials are found, players can now freely make and build Crab Traps in Dave The Diver.
How To Use Crab Traps In Dave The Diver
Now that players have access to Crab Traps, it's time to use them. It's not too difficult but there are a couple of steps that need to be taken. Crab Traps can be used at any water depth, but they'll need to be set up next to a rock that has bubbles coming out of them. That's where sea life like crabs and lobsters are hiding.
Players will have a choice of what kind of bait they want to use. The better the bait the better the catch they will get. Once the trap is fully set, players can leave for a bit and wait for the trap to work. Players will have to return to the Crab Trap before surfacing to claim their catch.
