Following the release of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime on Netflix, Cyberpunk 2077 saw a massive resurgence in players. CD Projekt Red (CDPR) has also been updating and improving the game since its disastrous launch. CDPR has announced not only the next Cyberpunk game but a new Witcher trilogy and a brand-new IP.
Over six years, gamers can expect three new The Witcher games. Toss a coin to your Witcher...right?
This article provides the first official and very brief descriptions of the new games from CDPR and their codenames.
Next Cyberpunk Game - Orion
Codenamed Orion, the next game set in the Cyberpunk universe will be developed by a brand new CD Projekt studio based in the US.

CDPR describes Orion as: "A codename for our next Cyberpunk game, which will take the Cyberpunk franchise further and continue harnessing the potential of this dark future universe."
The Witcher New Trilogy First Title - Polaris
When the next The Witcher game was announced, we saw an image of a medallion featuring a feline, believed to hint at the School of the Lynx.
Polaris is described as: "A codename for the next installment in The Witcher series of games, which we recently announced was in pre-production. It is the beginning of a new saga: we aim to release two more Witcher games after Polaris, creating a new AAA RPG trilogy."
New The Witcher Game - Canis Majoris
At the time of writing, it is unclear what studio is working on this new The Witcher game. It is the first game being developed outside of the CDPR group. We know that the title, codenamed Canis Majoris, won't form part of the above-mentioned new trilogy.
Canis Majoris is described as: "A full-fledged Witcher game, separate to the new Witcher saga starting with Polaris. It will be developed by an external studio headed by experienced developers who have worked on past Witcher games."
Canis Majoris is using Unreal Engine 5 and the developer toolset created for Polaris.
Another The Witcher Title - Sirius
Combining multiplayer and single-player experiences, Sirius is the codename for yet another The Witcher game. The Molasses Flood is developing it.
Sirius is described as: "It will differ from our past productions, offering multiplayer gameplay on top of a single-player experience including a campaign with quests and a story."
Unreal Engine 5, along with the toolset created for Polaris.
New CDPR IP - Hadar
CD Project Red also announced a completely new IP, codenamed Hadar. Details are extremely scarce on this project.
Project Hadar is explained as: "A codename for a third, entirely distinct IP, created from scratch within CDPR. The project is in the earliest stages of the creative process, which means we are not developing any game yet, but working exclusively on the foundation for this new setting."
This should be extremely exciting announcements for gamers across the globe, despite the lack of info or any release dates.
The CEO of CDPR, Adam Kiciński, talks about the future: "Thinking ahead, we’re now looking at three unique, strong and enduring franchises. At the center of each we envision a growing number of single-player games with memorable storylines, enhanced with multiplayer experiences. We see CD PROJEKT as a growing force, shaped by teams which take pride in their achievements and take bold steps to realize their ambitions."
