As players dive into Dogtown and the world of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, their journey with Solomon Reed will take plenty of twists and turns before The Damned is your next mission. Like most missions there are several different ways to approach it, but there's also one tricky bit in the middle that can give you a much easier time with this mission.
We'll break down every step in this The Damned mission guide for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Whether you're looking to use a bit of brute force or find a way into the ventilation shafts, you're working your way towards an inevitable meeting with Slider alongside Solomon Reed.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty - The Damned Mission Guide
You won't get The Damned as a mission until after completing Lucretia My Reflection. That includes taking down the Chimera and shutting off the steam to escape the tunnels, after which you'll finally meet Solomon Reed. The final step of Lucretia My Reflection will be to wait a few days for a call from Reed, and that's when you get The Damned as your next mission.
Your first task is to head to The Moth bar in Dogtown, which a handy map marker should make into an easy trip. Once there, you'll meet Alex and have a bit of tense conversation. Your choices here could impact dialogue later on, but ultimately you'll be told to meet with Reed near Slider's hideout.
Keep in mind that you're heading to a Voodoo Boys location, and that means you may be walking near some jumpy characters looking to start a fight. The map marker can be a bit confusing as you approach, so make sure to head up the stairs to reach the level where you'll look to enter.
How to find a way into the ventilation shafts
After a conversation with reed, players with at least a 10 in Body will have the option to skip any conversation and just go in guns blazing. If you do attempt to talk to the Voodoo Boys, pretty much every dialogue choice is going to end with them refusing to let you in. You could always open fire, but players looking to avoid the fight or find a different way to start it should listen to Reed and regroup.
As the two of you decide to find another way in, you'll get a new objective to find a way into the ventilation shafts. If you have a Body of 13, you'll be able to force open a nearby door. For those without that, turn around and walk outside of the building straight ahead before turning to the left.
You'll see a shipping container (shown above) and want to first climb to an upper tier more level with the Voodoo Boys graffiti on the building. Once up top, look for some scaffolding where you'll be able to drop down to a hidden entrance and open that door previously blocking you. Solomon Reed will follow you in, and the hunt for Slider continues.
Where to find Slider in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
Your path through the vents will take you in the direction of Slider, but how that journey goes is mostly up to you. There's a grate in the vents that'll collapse as you try to walk across it, and at this point you'll be trapped in a room waiting for Solomon Reed to take the next step. You can try to keep talking it out, but most players will end up in combat with the Voodoo Boys.
Take your time and utilize cover to pick them off, but rest assured that defeating the crew is plenty doable if you've got the right gear and are high enough level. Once you've cleared the area of enemies, it'll be time to find Slider.
The tower in the center of the room is a bit of a red herring, as you'll actually want to go to the base floor and head into the room shown above to find him. Once you finally reach Slider, you'll have to jack in so you can make contact with Songbird.
Players with a particularly high Intelligence will have some extra dialogue options here, but the outcome is the same. After speaking to Songbird, even if you've got the skill to ask Reed to jack out Slider in hopes of saving him, he won't survive the experience. Leave the building after looting containers and equipment to have a final conversation with Solomon Reed that will complete The Damned.
