BIG (3-0)

German squad BIG surprised the crowd. Despite not even ranking in the top 10, BIG was one of the two teams who got through the RMR with a clean 3-0. First, the side beat Sashi 13-9 on Anubis, then beat HEROIC with a 13-8 on Ancient. BIG finished off proceedings by reverse-sweeping Passion UA for a 2-1 victory.

3DMAX (3-0)

For 3DMAX, the opening round was a close 13-11 win against TSM. The side then took down Turkish powerhouse Eternal Fire with a huge 19-16 win in Overtime on Nuke. Lastly, 3DMAX shocked fans across the globe by reverse-sweeping G2 Esports 2-1 to make it to the Perfect World Shanghai Major main event.

G2 Esports (3-1)

For G2 Esports, the European B RMR kicked off in solid fashion, as they beat NIP 13-7 on Nuke and then 9Pandas with a 16-13 in Overtime on Dust2. G2 Esports then got shocked by 3DMAX in a reverse sweep. However, the squad recovered in style, beating Team Spirit with a 2-1 to qualify for the main event.

HEROIC (3-1)

HEROIC beat PARIVISION 13-8 in their opening match and then lost to BIG on Ancient. However, HEROIC bounced back to beat NIP 13-5, and then in the 4th round of matches, reverse-sweeped Passion AU to qualify for the Major Championship.

Virtus.pro (3-1)

After losing in the opening round against Passion AU (16-14) on Mirage in Overtime, Virtus.pro recovered nicely, beating TSM 13-10 on Ancient, then 9Pandas also with a 13-10 on Ancient. Virtus.pro claimed their Major Championship spot by reverse-sweeping Sashi for a 2-1 victory.

Passion UA (3-2)

Ukrainian newcomers Passion UA were the underdogs, but that didn't stop the side from digging deep to beat Virtus.pro 16-14 in the opening match. Passion UA then shocked the world as they beat Team Spirit 13-11 on Anubis. While the squad did get reverse-swept by BIG in the third round of matches and then again by HERIOC in the 4th round, they proved they belong at the Major by beating Astralis with a clean 2-0, causing another huge upset and thereby qualifying for the main event of the Shanghai Major.

Team Spirit (3-2)

As one of the favorites, Team Spirit got off to a very strong start, beating B8 with a 13-1 on Dust2. However, they then got humbled by Passion UA in the second round on Anubis, losing 11-13. They then went on to beat Aurora 13-7 on Dust2 before losing to G2 Esports with a 2-1. Team Spirit then swept Sashi 2-0, and had to play in the 7th-place decider. They managed to crush NIP 2-0 to claim the final spot at the Shanghai Major.
