Sparks flew in China at the first few RMR events as teams fought for coveted spots in the Perfect World Shanghai Major. We've already covered the results of the Asia-Pacific RMR and the American RMR. Now, it's time to take a look at the European A RMR event results. As the strongest Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports region, Europe has two RMR events. The European A RMR event ran from 17 to 20 November.

The Shanghai Major European A RMR event was stacked with some of the best squads in the world, including NAVI, Team Vitality, and FaZe Clan. It also marks the return of the GOAT, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev, to competitive top-tier Counter-Strike with Team Falcons (on loan), which just took the excitement to the next level.
European A RMR Results | Shanghai Major
For those who don't know, the event follows a 16-Team Swiss System format, where elimination and advancement matches are BO3 and all other matches are BO1. Teams who reach three wins first go through, and teams with three losses are eliminated. The top seven make it through to the main event of the Major.
Let's take a look at the Shanghai Major European A RMR results, explaining which teams made it through the main event starting on 30 November 2024 in China.
- Team Vitality (3-0): In the opening round, Team Vitality beat GamerLegion 13-8 on Inferno, then proceeded to smash BetBoom 13-3 on Nuke. In the advancement match, Team Vitality beat FaZe Clan 2-0 to proceed to the main event of the Major with a 3-0 RMR score.
- MOUZ (3-0): MOUZ demolished Nemiga with a 13-3 score on Inferno, then smashed Sangal also with a 13-3 score on Mirage. In the advancement match, MOUZ pulled off a reverse sweep against NAVI to claim a spot in the Shanghai Major.
- NAVI (3-1): After scoring a solid 13-9 win against Fnatic on Inferno and convincingly beating SINNERS with a 13-5 on Inferno, NAVI faltered against MOUZ, losing to a powerful reverse sweep. Aleksib's side pushed back, however, and won their next match against SAW with a clean 2-0 to proceed to the main event of the Shanghai Major.
- Cloud9 (3-1): Cloud9 suffered an early 13-8 loss against FaZe Clan on Ancient. However, the side bounced back with vigor, beating Nemiga 13-5 on Inferno and then demolishing Sangal 13-2 on Mirage. In a rather close match against SINNERS, Cloud9 managed to come out on top with a 2-1 win, qualifying for the Shanghai Major.
- FaZe Clan (3-1): With a 13-8 victory over Cloud9 on Ancient, FaZe Clan got off to a strong start at the European A RMR, and then managed to beat Team Falcons with a close 16-14 on Nuke, requiring overtime to score the win. An on-form Team Vitality then 2-0'ed FaZe Clan, but Karrigan's men bounced back to beat Fnatic with a 2-0 to qualify for the main event of the Shanghai Major.
