Ninjas in Pyjamas rebuilt their Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster in March 2024, and now, nine months later, they have again announced significant changes. This time, the roster is built around the Danish in-game leader previously from ENCE, the great Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer.
This announcement comes after the benching of South African Gareth "MisteM" Ries, who was reportedly the "future of NIP."
The only remaining player from the previous roster is Ukrainian AWPer Artem "r1nkle" Moroz. The team's new anchor is Rasmus "sjuush" Beck from the old HEROIC, which coach Richard "Xizt" Landström should be excited about. NIP then completed its new roster with Rafael "arrozdoce" Wing and Michel "ewjerkz" Pinto, previously from SAW.
NIP sent out a press release about this roster change, and also posted a short video on social media, with the post's tagline as "time to make it count."

The new NIP roster is:
- Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer
- Rasmus "sjuush" Beck
- Artem "r1nkle" Moroz
- Michel "ewjerkz" Pinto
- Rafael "arrozdoce" Wing
Most of the roster will compete at the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 16 Closed Qualifier starting on 16 January 2025. I said most because Audric "JACKZ" Jug is featuring as a stand-in for a short period of time in place of Rafael "arrozdoce" Wing.
It will be interesting to see how NIP performs in their first matches and if the squad improves and synergizes quickly.
