NAVI Cruises Past BIG to Secure Liquid Rematch | BLAST Fall Groups

In Group D of the BLAST Fall Groups 2024 event, we've seen some incredible Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports action with a new Team Liquid shocked fans by dramatically defeating favorites NAVI. In the lower bracket of Group D, NAVI had to claw their way back and beat BIG, and Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen managed to do so quite easily.

NAVI cruised past BIG with a rather clean 2-0. On BIG's map pick of Dust2, NAVI pulled ahead on the CT side in the first half.

The best highlight has to be the incredible shots with the R8 Revolver (you don't see that often!) from Lithuanian lurker Justinas "jL" Lekavičius. Check out the four kills in the 2nd round of Dust2 below.

NAVI ended up with a 13-7 win on Dust2, which is considered rather clean. On NAVI's map, pick of Mirage; however, the side just absolutely dominated BIG, Despite the German side's Rigon "rigoN" Gashi efforts.

NAVI went on to win the first half on the CT side very convincingly with a 9-3 score and denied BIG completely in the second half for a 13-3 victory.

In the final of Group D, NAVI will now face Team Liquid in a rematch to see who makes it directly into the BLAST Fall Final 2024 event and who will have to compete in the Play-In stage on Sunday.
