For Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans, ESL Pro League Season 20 has been a wild ride, with upsets aplenty and even records being broken, such as the longest map and the most kills in regulation. We've also seen some dominating performances that make you gasp, and one of these was the recent Team Liquid vs. Complexity Round of 12 match.

In the ESL Pro League Season 20 Playoffs, Complexity looked strong in the opening Round of 16, eliminating a favorite, FaZe Clan, with a solid clean 2-0 win. Then, in the Round of 12, Complexity just fell apart under the prowess of Team Liquid's young AWPer, Roland "Ultimate" Tomkowiak.
On Complexity's map pick of Nuke, Team Liquid got off to an insane start on the CT side and ended the first half with a 12-0 score, then Complexity just narrowly avoided the 13-0 by winning the pistol round.
Liquid finished off Nuke 13-2 and then beat Complexity 13-7 on Anubis to score the 2-0 clean sweep. Complexity only scored 9 rounds across both maps. Liquid's dominance can, in part, be attributed to their AWPer, who used the Big Green to devasting effect.
Roland "Ultimate" Tomkowiak scored a 112.7 ADR, a 40/19 K/D ratio, and a fantastic 1.79 player rating.
What makes Ultimate's performance even more impressive is that the Polish youngster only played his first S-Tier professional match at the end of July 2024 at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups and demolished Virtus.pro in the process. It's clear now that Roland "Ultimate" Tomkowiak at Fall Groups was not a fluke and that he is definitely the real deal on LAN.
Those are just stats, however, so for many, that might not sound incredibly impressive. You can check out the highlights package of Ultimate wrecking Complexity to find out what those stats really mean below.
