Moving onto Mirage, it was MOUZ who won the first round and continued their efforts into the second half. The second map ended with a 13 : 8 win for MOUZ and a 2 : 0 score that saw them boost their way into the Semifinals.
MOUZ will now take on NAVI in the Semifinals, the winner of which will head to the Grand Finals and take their shot at claiming the IEM Cologne 2024 trophy, $400,000 in prize money, and a fast-track pass to IEM Katowice 2025 and the BLAST Premier World Final.
MOUZ's clean victory over G2 marks, arguably, the second upset of the Playoffs, following SAW's win over FaZe Clan. The IEM Cologne 2024 Semifinals begin on Saturday, August 17, with the Grand Final taking place on Sunday, August 18.
