Complexity Send OG Packing Despite k1to Heroics | BLAST Fall Groups

The second day of the BLAST Fall Groups 2024 event had some fantastic Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) action take place in Group A and Group B, as Team Vitality and Team Spirit secured spots in the finals of their respective groups, while GamerLegion got eliminated in Group B, and OG got sent packing in Group A. Despite OG's elimination, I can't get Nils "k1to" Gruhne's ace out of my mind.

An ace doesn't happen often in top-tier professional Counter-Strike, especially when both teams have rifles. It's when one player kills all five of the enemy team for those who don't know.

On the first map in the OG vs. Complexity match, OG's IGL, Nils "k1to" Gruhne, led by example, pulling off a magnificent ace in the 7th round of Ancient, putting OG ahead in a map for the first time in a long while.

To make the ace even more impressive, OG was on somewhat of a half-buy, while Complexity was fully kitted out. With the AK-47 in hand, k1to stopped Complexity in their tracks, and surprised both the casters and fans watching across the globe.

OG ended up losing Ancient 13-11, then won Vertigo 13-9, and lost 13-7 on the third and final map of the series, Anubis. 

k1to was even instrumental in OG's map win of Vertigo, where the German IGL managed to pull off a post-plant 2v1 clutch in the 20th round.

Despite k1to's efforts, Complexity managed to secure a 2-1 win over OG and keep themselves alive at the BLAST Fall Groups 2024. OG is sadly eliminated and will have to fight in the BLAST Fall Showdown event for another chance at a spot in the Fall Final.

Complexity will face HEROIC in the Lower Bracket Final of Group A on Friday, 2 August 2024, for a chance to take on Team Spirit in the final and possibly get "donked" on.
