As we reach the final few days of Warzone, players are now looking to the horizon for the arrival of Warzone 2, then the next iteration of the massively popular Call of Duty battle royale. With this, you may be wondering whether the COD points you've worked so hard to obtain will be coming with you.
Well, you don't need to wonder for much longer as in this article we will be answering the question of whether COD POints will transfer over to Call Of Duty Warzone 2. Along with some other important details you might need to know regarding your hard-earned operators, cosmetics, and more.
Will COD Points Transfer To Warzone 2?
As it currently stands, yes, your COD Points will in fact transfer over to Warzone 2 once it releases. Because COD Points are linked to your Activision account and have historically transferred over between new Call of Duty titles, it stands to reason that the same should apply here. So, if you've saved up a lot of COD Points, they should be waiting for you when you first log in to Warzone 2.
The only question is whether the status of your COD Points is affected by the platform you choose. Activision Support Agents have informed inquiring customers that COD Points are tied to the platform and Platform Store where they were first purchased.
For example, if you play Warzone on Xbox but switch to PlayStation for Warzone 2, you might lose your COD Points in the process. Similarly, if you play on a PC, you can play Warzone 2 on Battle.net or Steam. So, if you're planning to switch platforms before Warzone 2, you might want to reconsider until we get more clear confirmation on what will happen to your COD Points.

Lastly, it's an unfortunate case that players' Warzone inventory will not be transferring over to Warzone 2. This means any Operators, Skins, and any cosmetics, along with stats and progression, will not carry over to Warzone 2 as stated by a recent official Call Of Duty blog post.
As quoted in the blog post: "Warzone 2.0 will feature new Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories. Today’s Warzone will continue as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that Warzone experience".
So while it's unfortunate that players cannot carry their arsenal of gear and cosmetics over, they can at least always revisit the old Warzone title to play around with their old items. And at the very least, players will not be losing out on those sweet COD POints, so we recommend saving up as many of them as you can in preparation for the arrival of Warzone 2.
