Warzone & Vanguard Season 5 - How To Unlock RA 225 SMG

Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone's fifth and final season, branded "Last Stand," will go live on 24th August 2022. According to the Season 5 roadmap, players have an exciting content-rich menu to look forward to, including new maps, POIs, Operators, and weapons.

In particular, five new weapons are arriving in Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard Season 5: EX1 Energy Rifle, RA 225 SMG, and Valois Revolver. In addition, there are also the BP50 and Lienna 57 Assault Rifles, which will be released in the midseason.

This guide details how to unlock the new RA 225 SMG in Warzone and Vanguard Season 5; like many new releases before it, the RA 225 SMG will likely be a strong meta weapon for close-quarters combat in the new season.

How to unlock RA 225 in Vanguard & Warzone Season 5

Players can unlock the RA 225 SMG at the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Season 5. Similar to the EX1 Energy Rifle, the RA 225 SMG is available as a free unlock, obtainable after players reach Tier 31 of the Season 5 Battle Pass.

Once unlocked, Call of Duty players can enjoy the RA 225's high fire rate, quick handling, and compact mobile form factor as they shred through enemies in the game. According to the official blog post, the RA 225 is perfect for "shredding enemies in close to midrange battles," but only if they can handle the gun's "upward kick."

Since the RA 225 SMG will be customizable via the Gunsmith, it's also possible for Warzone players to bolster its exceptional power, handling, and accuracy further after pairing the RA 225 with the right attachments.

On that note, here's a link to the best RA 225 class setup for Warzone Season 5. While this SMG will be great for tight areas, it will require additional ammo to complete the job. It's also best paired with a high-damage-dealing meta Assault or Sniper Rifle for mid-long-range engagements.
