Warzone x Terminator confirmed in Season 4

A collaboration between Call of Duty and the Terminator franchise was teased just recently, and thankfully our speculations didn't have to last very long. We now have confirmation that the infamous time-traveling robots will be making an appearance in Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard.

If you want to know more about this crossover, then read on as we break down everything we know so far about the upcoming crossover between the beloved Terminator franchise, and the action-packed fourth season of Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone.

Warzone x Terminator confirmed for Season 4

Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone are set to receive new content with the upcoming release of Season 4, but according to a recent tweet, it seems we are also in for the appearance of the notorious Terminators. First shown in an initial Tweet from Call of Duty, the image of a silver bar among gold was mysteriously posted, and captioned with "Some precious metals shine brighter in the darkness. Who can identify?"

Looks like some mercenaries scored an unusual haul.

A short time later and the image was reposted, now featuring the words "Skynet Mimitec Pollyalloy" on the Silver bar, and the image was captioned "Grab this intel as fast as you can… they’ll be back". A much more direct reference to the Terminator franchise for those familiar with it.

For those unaware, Skynet was the artificial superintelligence system that serves as the antagonistic force of the Terminator franchise and was responsible for sending Terminators through time to destroy humanity in the original Terminator films. The phrase "I'll be back" was also coined by the Terminator played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original movie and has become a line synonymous with the franchise.

The Mimitec Pollyalloy is an artificial liquid metal compound that has been featured in many of the films as well and seems to strongly allude to the Terminator's appearance in Call of Duty soon to come. While we don't know exactly how the Terminators will be featured in the game just yet, we expect it to be a crossover similar to the recent Godzilla and King Kong crossover.

According to a recent blog by CharlieIntel, there will also be two limited edition bundles that players can grab once the crossover releases into Season 4. These bundles are listed below.

Considering Activision's recent crossover attempts and successes with Godzilla and King Kong, it makes sense that they would be aiming to bring the Terminator into their ranks for this season. As they aim to blend the pop culture and media we all enjoy into the high-action gameplay of Call of Duty we've also come to love, and needless to say, we're here for it.
