Warzone Tactical Rifle tier list - every Tactical Rifle ranked from best to worst for Season 2

Tactical Rifles are a new addition to Warzone since the integration of Black Ops Cold War's armoury.

These burst firing rifles occupy a slightly different space than an Assault Rifle or SMG but possess qualities of both that if paired with an accompanying weapon with a little more range from the Marksmen or Sniper class are very much meta in Warzone as of Season 2.

The ones most commonly seen on the battlefield are the M16 and Cold War's AUG, not to be confused with the AUG SMG that has been in the game much longer.

But what Tactical Rifle is the best? We rank each in our Tac Rifle tier list to give you all the information you need before you jump into Verdansk.

Description of the tiers

We have opted for a standard five-tier system, S to D.

S-Tier: The absolute best Tactical Rifle in Warzone.

A-Tier: With the right loadout this Tactical Rifle can mix it with the best.

B-Tier: Don't sleep on these weapons but don't expect them to slay out with the best.

C-Tier: Playstyle dependent. Though if you like using one of these you gotta ask yourself why you ain't picking one up higher not the list.

D-Tier: Would be better to take some harsh words with you than rock one of these.

It is important to note tier lists are not an exact science. However, this list does give you a good idea of the power rankings when it comes to Tactical Rifles in Warzone Season 2.

Tactical Rifle tier list

For those in the know, there are very few surprises on our list.

Perhaps the biggest is our choice to put the AUG just slightly above the M16 in affectiveness. This comes down to loadout and attachments too with the AUG melting opponents with the right setup.

The DMR 14 is comfortably B-Tier, but could honestly be C, saved only by its stopping power and memories of when it was dominating Warzone lobbies at the start of Season 1.

The Type 63? It's not exactly a meme weapon but with what the AUG and M16 are doing you'd be daft to pick it up.

Note: They are currently only four tactical rifles in Warzone but more likely to be added and we will update this page as they are.
