Warzone Tactical Rifle tier list - Every tac. rifle ranked from best to worst for Season 4 Reloaded

Update: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded has been released and with it, a raft of weapon balance changes have been implemented. The tier list below now reflects this as well as the current meta.

With a shiny new battle pass and a whole lot to discover across the map, the Warzone Season 4 update is filled to the brim with content to digest. One of the most important aspects of a new season for many players are all the balance changes, which we've taken into consideration while ranking all the Tactical Rifles in Warzone Season 4, from best to worst, with our detailed tier list. 

Taking the current meta and weapon balance changes into account, we've ranked all the Tactical Rifles from best to worst in our tier list.

Let's break down what each tier means down below:

• S-Tier: The best of the best. Even with mediocre attachments, these Tactical Rifles can decimate your opponents. 
• A-Tier: With the right attachments, these Tactical Rifles can still deliver some great damage in Warzone Season 4.
• B-Tier: While the B-Tier Tactical Rifles can't really compete with the S-Tier. However, if you pick all the right attachments they can get the job done.
• C-Tier: Not really worth it but still useable if you prefer one of these Tactical Rifles. It can work in certain situations.
• D-Tier: The trash tier. Avoid this weapon at all cost since there are better options to choose from.

Warzone Season 4 Tactical Rifle tier list

Keep in mind that these tier lists aren't an exact science. There's also a "massive balance overhaul" that is set to take place in mid-season, which could completely change these rankings. We will update this article once that happens.

Since there are only five Tactical Rifles in Warzone, and no new weapons of this class added at the start of Season 4, there isn't much room for error. Let's kick things off with the S-Tier Tactical Rifle.

S-Tier Tactical Rifle:

• DMR-14

The DMR-14 is the only Tactical Rifle in Warzone Season 4's balance changes to get a nice buff, decreasing the weapon's recoil magnitude. This means the DMR-14, despite already being a solid option, can now do extremely well at mid to long-range engagements, making it our top pick.

A-Tier Tactical Rifle:

• M16

The M16 is still an excellent choice and is used by many players who prefer a Tactical Rifle in Warzone. The M16, however, didn't receive any buffs in Warzone Season 4, which caused it to drop one tier compared to the buffed DMR-14.

B-Tier Tactical Rifle:

• AUG

The AUG isn't as good as either the M16 or the DMR-14. For mid-range engagements, the AUG can still do a whole lot of damage, so consider this if your playstyle allows for an AUG setup.

C-Tier Tactical Rifle:

• CARV.2

Based on the current meta and no buffs to speak of, the CARV.2 has dropped one spot on our tier list compared to that of Season 3 Reloaded.

D-Tier Tactical Rifle:

• Type 63

The poor old Type 63 just can't catch a break. You would be better off using one of the other Tactical Rifles in this list. However, we have hopes that with the massive, upcoming balance update expected in the middle of Warzone Season 4, the Type 63 could get some love.
