For those Call of Duty players who love the long-range engagements, sniper and marksman rifles provide, there are always a couple of questions at the start of a new season. Warzone Season 4 is no different in this respect. In our Sniper and Marksman rifle tier list for Warzone Season 4, we answer the questions of which long-range gun is the best, and which is the worst, ranking all 16 of them.

Yes, the tally for sniper and marksman rifles remains at 16 for Season 4. While the developers spoiled us with the Swiss K31 in the previous season, no additional weapons in this class were added in Season 4.

Taking the current meta and weapon balance changes into account, we've ranked all the sniper and marksman rifles from best to worst in our tier list.

Let's break down what each tier means down below:

• S-Tier: The best of the best for lovers of long-range engagements. These Sniper/Marksman rifles don't even need all the best attachments to make their bullets sing.
• A-Tier: With the right attachments, these sniper/marksman rifles can still take your opponents down with ease in Warzone Season 4.
• B-Tier: If you pick all the best attachments these sniper rifles can get the job done in Verdansk.
• C-Tier: Useful in certain situations with the perfect loadout, these sniper rifles at the start of Warzone Season 4 aren't all that great.
• D-Tier: The trash tier. Throw away these sniper/marksman rifles for something better, anything really!

Warzone Season 4 sniper & marksman rifle tier list

As always, remember that these tier lists aren't an exact science. In the end, it does sometimes come down to preference and your playstyle. If the developers make balance changes for this weapon class during the course of Warzone Season 4, we will update our tier list with the changes in mind.

Let's kick things off with the best-of-the-best sniper and marksman rifles at the start of Warzone Season 4.

S-Tier Sniper/Marksman rifles:

• Kar98k
• SP-R 208
• ZRG 20mm

The SP-R 208, remains in the S-Tier as the best hybrid marksman rifle, while the Kar98k marksman rifle stands out as the best for those aggressive, quick-scoping antics. The ZRG 20mm is the best traditional sniper rifle in Warzone Season 4, perfect for those long-range battles.

A-Tier Sniper/Marksman rifles:

• K31 Swiss
• Pelington 703
• LW3 Tundra 

The A-Tier sniper/marksman rifles in Warzone Season 4 packs a whole lot of punch, simply missing the S-Tier rank by a few steps. The Pellington 703 remains one of the favourites, while the K31 Swiss and the LW3 Tundra are no slouches either

B-Tier Sniper/Marksman rifles:

• HDR
• AX-50
• M82

The HDR and AX-50 rifles can make a big impact in Verdansk, and are close to the A-Tier ranking. Find the best loadout to suit your needs and these sniper/marksman rifles can get the job done.

The M82 got significant buffs for Season 4, including a faster bullet velocity and damage multiplier for lower and upper torso shots, making it a much reliable gun to use.

C-Tier Sniper/Marksman rifles:

• Crossbow
• EBR-14
• SKS
• MK2 Carbine

These C-Tier weapons on our sniper tier list for Warzone Season 4 aren't all that great. They can still be useful in some situations, so if you find a loadout that works for you, give them a shot.

D-Tier Sniper/Marksman rifles:

• Rytec AMR
• Dragunov
• R1 Shadowhunter

Despite some cool names such as Dragunov and R1 Shadowhunter, these are the trash tier Sniper and Marksman rifles at the start of Warzone Season 4 Reloaded. Rather go for one of the other 12 on this list.
