It's a new day in Verdansk as Season 4 is being Reloaded, the patch notes for the update have now been released, and they are juicy. Featuring a new Warzone Mode, the addition of a much-awaited Killstreak, and lots of changes to weapons that will shake the meta to its roots.
As always, this update will be also accompanied by changes to accessibility features, as well as bug fixes, and most importantly, a new limited-time event where players will have the chance to get exclusive rewards, this time in the form of Weapon Blueprints from prior seasons.
Let’s take a look at the highlights of the notes for the Season 4 Reloaded of Warzone.
New Warzone Mode: Payload
Leading this mid-season update is the introduction of a new Warzone Mode, famously known as the Payload. Those who have played other FPS games will be very familiar with it, as the objective is to escort caravans of vehicles through a series of Checkpoints before the timer runs out or the mission is sabotaged.
Warzone’s first-ever objective-based game mode will pit two teams of 20 Players against each other, which will have to build or destroy barriers and purchase buildings to aid in the squad’s mission, while collecting Contracts with Cash and Killstreaks around Verdansk, as these will help lead to success.
Payload will be available in the upcoming Featured Playlist Rotation as part of Season 4 Reloaded.
New Weapons: OTs 9 and the Mace
Aside from the list of balance changes featured in the new mid-season update, which you can now find in our full overview article, the Season 4 Reloaded will add two more weapons into the game’s arsenal, the OTs 9 and the Mace.
The OTs 9 is a full-auto Submachine Gun with an impressive firepower at close range and good visibility while firing, also benefited with a reliable recoil control and a smaller magazine size. This SMG will be available as soon as the updates arrive into the game.
As for the Mace, this will be the latest addition to the Melee roster, being a brutal weapon that will arrive later in the season, unlockable via in-game challenge or Store bundle.
New Killstreak: Sentry Gun
The Season 4 Reloaded will also bring lots of changes to the loot system, with new Gulag loadouts available from now on, and Specialist Tokens will now be slightly more common in core BR.
Besides the biggest comes with the addition of the powerful Sentry Gun as a new Killstreak, being available in Red Door Control Rooms.
Other changes include:
- Increase in the damage of the Combat Bow Killstreak damage, as it will now down enemies who are directly hit.
- Players will now drop their current equipment directly behind them when looting a Loadout Drop.
- The vertical camera movement will no longer be locked when sliding on a downward slope
- It will be possible to do Wheelies with the Dirt Bike (something simple, but satisfying).
New Operator: Weaver
A new Operator known as Weaver will be added into the Season 4 Reloaded, obtainable as part of the Tracer Pack: Weaver Operator Bundle, available in the Store later
This Bundle will include the “Kremlin’s Eye” Operator Skin based on his original Black Ops incarnation, in addition to three Legendary Weapon Blueprints and a new Finishing Move.
Limited-Time Event: Blueprint Blitz
Similar to Double XP weekends, a new special global Event will be activated where Contraband Contracts will automatically spawn after you complete two regular Contracts.
Blueprint Blitz will give the opportunity to earn plenty of Weapon Blueprints from prior seasons. If you missed out or didn’t play Warzone during the time these were originally available, Contraband Contracts award you with previous Seasonal rewards after you complete the Contract from the DZ, in addition to tons of Cash within your current match.
This Event will only apply to the core BR and Plunder modes.
Make squads faster with the Social Menu Tabs
Last but not least, this patch will also add new Social Menu Tabs that will make it easier to find, friend, and play with recent team members, these being the Recent Squad and Recent Lobby.
This will also make it easier for you to report instances of cheating and/or toxicity even after the match has ended.
You can find more info on the Accessibility features introduced in this update, as well as the full list of bug fixes for Warzone, in the full patch notes released by Raven Software on their website.
The Season 4 Reloaded update for Warzone will be available on 15th July, 2021.
