The Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 1 update has arrived, and it is absolutely filled to the brim with content, including the brand new map, Caldera, over 40 new weapons, Gulag changes, and even crazy fighter jet skirmishes, the battle pass and much more. For the competitive player, however, few things are more important than the weapon balance changes, as knowing which weapons have been buffed, and which have been nerfed, can make all the difference.
We've got you covered with the Warzone Pacific Season 1 weapon balance changes, detailing all the buffs and nerfs, both for the old weapons, and the new Vanguard guns.
Balance changes for Warzone Pacific Season 1
First up, it is important to note that the balance changes for Warzone Pacific Season 1 detailed in this article are just for the launch.
Raven Software has confirmed that a balance update will be released "shortly after launch" via the official patch notes. These will include "considerable changes" across weapons from Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard and Modern Warfare.
With that in mind, let's get to the weapon balance changes for Warzone Pacific Season 1's launch.
Melee weapon balance changes
Ballistic Knife (BOCW):
- Melee damage decreased to 90, down from 13
Battle Axe (BOCW):
- Damage decreased to 135, down from 175
Cane (BOCW):
- Damage decreased to 135, down from 150
Kali Sticks (MW):
- Damage decreased to 65, down from 90
- Lunge Distance decreased by 7.7%
- Melee Finisher now requires 4 hits, up from 2
- Note: These changes also affect MW Multiplayer
Mace (BOCW):
- Damage decreased to 135, down from 150
Sai (BOCW):
- Damage decreased to 70, down from 135
- Lunge Distance decreased 7.7%
- Melee Finisher now requires 4 hits, up from 2
As you can see, melee weapons have been nerfed across the board at the start of Warzone Pacific Season 1.
Vanguard guns balance changes for Warzone Pacific
Since all COD Vanguard weapons are now in Warzone, it is worth noting the initial launch balance changes for Warzone Pacific Season 1.
Check out the changes to some Vanguard snipers below, noting the buffs and nerfs.
M1 Garand:
- Reduced Recoil.
Type 99:
- Reduced Aim Flinch.
- Reduced ADS Time.
- Retain One Shot Kill potential for chest shots when smaller calibre ammo is used.
3-Line Rifle:
- Reduced ADS Time.
Kar98:
- Retain One Shot Kill potential for chest shots when smaller calibre ammo is used.
We expect a massive list of weapon balance changes for Warzone Pacific Season 1 to release on or before 12th December. At this point, we will update our readers with all the details.
