COD Modern Warfare 2 Stuck On Installing Bug - How To Fix

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is here, and looking at the massive fan base of the series, it is safe to say the game is getting a fantastic response. But with the new game's release, you can find a few bugs. Recently, many MW2 players have been complaining about a bug where Modern Warfare 2 is stuck on the ‘Status Installing’ screen.

This issue has been found on all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Series S, or Series X. Fortunately, Infinity Ward, developers of Modern Warfare 2, have addressed the issue with a fix and have assured that it will be fixed in the upcoming update. If you are facing this error, here are the complete steps to fix it.

How To Fix COD MW2 Stuck On Installing Bug 

The "Stuck On Installing" Bug can be really annoying as it prevents the players from playing the game. Thus, you can follow the below-given fixes on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and all the other platforms to enter Modern Warfare 2 and start playing it quickly.

• If you are stuck on Installing bug, open quick Settings (options button) and then back out. This will trigger the correct menu to appear.
• If that doesn’t fix your issue, try restarting the game, meaning the application will have to boot up again, and the bug will not trigger again.
• If restarting the game doesn’t help, then your final solution can be restarting the console or PC, as this helps to refresh all the systems, and maybe it will help to bypass the bug.

PlayStation players encountering a locked game tile or issue accessing campaign early access should open QUICK SETTINGS (options button) — and then back out.

Although Infinity Ward said that the issue is now fixed, we've seen a few reports from players popping up on social media. 

This issue has been resolved with an update. Please restart your game client.
